I've been sorting out my materials lately and one thing I have a lot of is doilies. Those silly, lacy, seemingly useless, but pretty
bits of crochet, are everywhere!
So, here are a couple of ideas I had to use some of them. First I dyed some in pretty colors. I added one of the dyed doilies to a
plaid skirt. I think it looks updated and handmade at the same time. Then I made a couple of
scarves out of upcycled fabrics and added the doilies at each end as a ruffle or fringe detail. These have a fun look and can be worn in Fall when it's not really cold enough for a wool scarf.
